Debut’s Debut
So for the past couple of weeks I have been trying to scout emerging fashion talent for a new boutique in NoLiTa. And I say trying because I mean trying-
Wouldn’t ya think that brand new, fresh faced, emerging designers would jump at the opportunity to be shown in a brand new hot in the press NoLiTa boutique?!?!
Apparently not. Because none of them seem to call or email back.
An email back saying, No, thanks, not interested in catapulting my career but thanks for the offer- would be A-OK by me!
I know, I am supposed to cut them some slack because they are flaky artists. But I am an artist and don’t want that bad rep perpetuated.
More importantly, what am I wearing to the opening party tomorrow night.
I am wearing a dress by Karta, that I picked up at Loehmann’s not knowing that Karta was a very expensive brand…. for 50 freakin bucks. Hell to the yizea.
So this is just an idea- not the exact dress at ALL.
Mine is olive green, with no defined waistline, cap sleeves and a bit of a higher jeweled neckline.
SO basically its nothing like this, but I still wanted to you to get a feel for something that Karta does so well.
Maybe I will post a picture after getting all dolled up. Thanks to my makeup guru, S, who will work wonders.
