Secret insomnia

One way I am able to post at all hours of the night, these quiet late hours and not* look tired is one miracle product from a miracle worker. (*only when I use it.) thanks kevyn

Among the host of excellent qualities, a product for which this product line is most lauded. The consistency is so rich and densely pigmented that you need sooooo little to cover up a whole lotta face. It can be concealer or diluted with moisturizer for custom coverage foundation. This on top of freshly moisturized skin, under the eye erases the tired dark circles I have carried for a long time. And I have never said that about any other product, even Laura Mercier’s Secret Concealer which is good but doesn’t come close for serious dark circles. This also completely smooths out the tiny little white bumps under your eyes which frustrate me a lot for some reason. And it is also a matte finish so I don’t look slick and shiny, drawing more attention to the fact that I put makeup on. You can use a finger or a brush- either way it goes on velvety (setting powder optional) and streak-less.

Kevyn Aucoin, for those of you who may not be familiar was a prestigious celebrity makeup artist who died before his time due to a brain tumor. Or at least we thought his time came too early.

Sometimes we need a reminder that we need to do what we love today. Or at least I appreciate one from someone who lived everyday doing what he loved.

It is the free spirited men and women that we most admire and often envy- those individuals who dare to be themselves” - Kevyn Aucoin
