I want to address a TV show- Step it up and Dance. (Bravo Thursday nights). I love all dancing shows- OK not all. dancing with the stars is way too mainstream for moi. But, please do not hold it against Step it up and dance that Elizabeth Berkley is the host. She is only there at the end- during panel eliminations. So, if you have seen it or are curious to see my crush, Nick, I would love to discuss.
Anyway, I was watching a Tyra Show episode, about prostitutes in training. I don’t even know where to begin. There was one girl whose FATHER (not biological, mom’s husband from the age of like 4) is her manager and she is 18. Aside from prostituting his daughter out, which is almost as bad as it gets in my book, he does some other really creepy stuff. He waxes her- like everywhere. Picks out her sexy clothing. He claims he is helping her do “it safely” - although I don’t know if he knows women can work in the job force today. And why is this her only career option!?!?!? Very upsetting. 18 years old.
Mother’s Day Gift Guide coming early next week. Not that its cutting it close or anything.
