wow

i know it has been so long- but I am back and in a big way. I have much to say on many a topic.

I want to start with the underwhelming talent on Project Runway this season. DISAPPOINTING in every way. these designers would have been gone by week 3 in any other season because they are safe and predictable and unimaginative. Irina thinks she is gods gift- i mean u did leggings with a big sweater - calm yourself. u didn’t think of that or create anything we haven’t already seen a million times these past few seasons, because its all relative and no one else crafted anything as well. but it was unoriginal. there is no risk taking because there are no great minds behind these “designs.”

carol hannah - dresses - we get it.

christopher- LAYERED BUSTLED MESSES. we get that - even though we stopped after his first win.

althea- paper bag waists. again- u didn’t actually innovate anything there.

so sad- no interesting prints, or colors, or silhouettes, or fabric usages. just so blah.

BUT i did fall in love with one character on the show and that is Matar- THE MODEL.

obviously the Israeli model was going to hold a special place in my heart, but turns out she walked really well and held her own for a long time in competition. So D and I have been cheering her on for weeks. and to top it off her hair is KICK ASS and were very disappointed when she did not make it into the final 3.

I went to this event last night :

as i was about to leave i see this hugely curly mane sitting at the edge of the runway talking to this super creepy old fellow ——and i just knew.

i run over and make J take a pic with my phone. it was very dark inside and i forgot to out the flash on my stupid bb. but im still in love with this photo.

she is so nice. she was chatting it up with me- maybe because i wouldn’t leave her alone. but i think she thought i was charming. she told me that Irina is actually really nice and they took so much of what she said out of context. which makes sense with most of the reality shows. she also said that the model house was crazy the first few weeks when there were so many models on top of each other which makes sense. i could have shmoozed with her for hours.

i felt like saying at the end of the convo - um can we totally hang out sometime? but of course its creepy not in the weirdo old guy who was just hitting on her way. shame. i think we would be good friends. ;)

and i did tell her how awesome her hair is. i couldn’t resist.
