finishing touches
Whenever I am in the nursery I am mentally redecorating it already. Not the key pieces of furniture we have- but in terms of the finishing touches and personal details. The mural i painted is rather large but in the far corner of the room, so to me that says i still have free reign on the remainder walls and ceiling space. D on the other hand is concerned about it getting to be “too much” - well- if my original goal for the room was fun and whimsical- is it ever too much?
ok, i know it can be. but i am far from there yet. i do plan on posting photos once i finalize the nursery. and with the custom bedding i designed myself being delivered next week that photo session is approaching.
Some of the touches i want to add include: a wall clock- an ideal clock would be one that glows in the dark so I can see what god forsaken time it is as i feed all hours of the night. it appears that glow in the dark wall clocks are harder to find than i expected. i found one- but it sucks.
I want this one to be glow in the dark-

next up on the list, is a cool mirror for over the changing table. when were at D’s mom’s house she has one and B couldnt stop admiring herself in the mirror and I thought it was a great way to distract her if shes not so interested in being changed at that particular moment. these are the mirrors im considering from ikea.

This one can be arranged in any way you choose. But you need to screw it in to the wall versus :

this mirror is 5 bucks and you stick it on the wall with double sided tape which is much more non committal and so easy, it ensures it will get done. but i will have to spring for strong tape so the mirrors are not falling down on my baby.
the final detail, (for this post, anyway) I want to hang something from the ceiling over the crib. I am considering this stunningly fun one from a talented etsy artist but in DIFFERENT colors for me. ***Note the vintage patterns of the hanging butterflies!!!

the only problem is deciding which colors to choose.
