The other day I went to try out a baby carrier at store called Metro Minis located on the Upper East Side. I assumed this store was going to be some pushy saleswomen telling me to use cloth diapers and trying to get me to buy most expensive thing in the store. It is after all the UES.

But to my pleasant surprise, the employees were laid back, informative and SO NICE. They spent so much time with me and the friend i brought along. Never pressured me to buy anything and were more than happy to let me sit there and feed lil’ B for like 40 minutes.

In the end I bought the Beco Butterfly 2 in Avery.

I chose this carrier for a few reasons (since many friends are curious as to why) and after our nice walks with it I am a big fan already and very pleased with my purchase.

The fact that you can transfer a sleeping baby from one carrier to the next without waking baby is rather priceless, since baby will sit in this separate pouch inside carrier. **very clever.

Another feature that I liked was the easy backpack style for back carry option. It is cushiony and extremely comfortable and felt sleeker in fit to me than the other buckle soft carrier i was considering.

I liked their prints the best espeically for more unisex options. and it even fit D comfortably… not a slight guy. which meant even though it was expensive i didnt have to buy two carriers for both of us.
