brainstorming
I am racking my brain for REASONABLE places to advertise my photography services (print, web). The problem is trying to reach affluent parents in reasonable periodicals, might be an impossible task. All ideas are welcomed. Additionally, other things that are happening right now is a search for an anniversary present for my parents 30th. Again reasonable is key. Lastly took a hop-hop class with...

Laziness needs no excuse
Is it so wrong to want the short cuts in life? I am not saying in everything…. med. school, sky diving lessons or frozen breakfast burritos. But when it comes to taking off my makeup I am always searching for the least time consuming, back-breaking-bend-over-the-sink that exists.  And I am not going to apologize for that. Big thumbs down for this option.  Not so sure what Allure was...

Debut's Debut
So for the past couple of weeks I have been trying to scout emerging fashion talent for a new boutique in NoLiTa.  And I say trying because I mean trying- Wouldn’t ya think that brand new, fresh faced, emerging designers would jump at the opportunity to be shown in a brand new hot in the press NoLiTa boutique?!?! Apparently not.  Because none of them seem to call or email back. An email...

Sore Losers
After hearing Rocco Mediate on the podium graciously addressed the crowd in his diplomatic concession speech, I was struck by one thought. Miss Hillary Clinton could learn quite a few things from Rocco’s sportsmanship. The dignity in which he handled himself leaves a far greater impact than the hissy fit she threw that infamous Tuesday night. Holding your head high, proves to be the...

Fan of the Fanny
In one of my first posts I mentioned my love of the fanny pack.  Yes, you read correctly. Thanks to America’s Best Dance Crew for bring it to the hip hop scene because there is a crew called Fanny Pack.  And after much exploration I narrowed down my chic waist pouch search. Cairo by Chokorai, $120 This is funky, not so big, only for essentials. But this really could fool you for a belt...

Fakin' a Bakin'
Better than her word, makeup artist S’s nutty brown skin speaks for itself. Her normally see-thru, veiny, freckly skin is quite bronze (not orange) and she was not wearing any makeup- and she’s a makeup artist, which is a feat in itself. - OK she was wearing mascara, but that’s a given and has nothing to do with bronzer. It is well priced at 20 dollars, feels like a...

Take That
I have never been one for timid or demure footwear. I think having been told I can pull off anything has gotten to my head and clouded my judgment. But I do think I am onto something with these few hot and spicy black summer sandals.  I am sure u will let me know if I am wrong. These have that bondage matrix kick ass feel that I love and feel comfortable pairing them with various degrees of...

Bag It
For my birthday a few months ago, my mother offered to buy me a bag.  A “nice” bag as she called it…. ok, I could go along with that.  But the budget was not as big as I had hoped.  200 dollars is fair, but have you seen how much “nice” bags cost these days? So my hunt began. Here are some nice things I have seen in my travels. This is fun, maybe not...

My new boyfriend →
This kid is re-damn-diculous.  I mean he is too much.  After catching him on Oprah he is just delightful and so natural (like u know he doesn’t have awful stage parents).  When he came on the screen - I was like that’s the McDonald’s boy dancer that I love.  So much love for that boy.

Where did they come from?
Quicksilver the surfer dude attire, is coming out with this fantastically cool and well priced clothing line for not so surfer-y lady kind due out in july/aug/sep. Though I am not entirely clear as to why everything is taking so long to debut and in installments. it still looks like it will be well worth checking out.

Anthropologie-itis
I have an anthropologie obsession, I can’t help it. In some ways it is good that everything is so expensive so that there is no chance I will buy it, the problem starts when things go on sale. Desert Rose Sweater LOVE.   - not on sale - yet

Lovin'
Some of the trends I am into right now, that I am planning on taking with me into the Fall are Peacock, Purple, and Bows- I’m tyring to find the ultimate that blends all my loves together. Without looking costume-y. We have all seen the feather craze hit our stores, but more subtly and easier to wear are graphic versions of peacock feathers.   found at avalove.etsy.com  Or u can carry...
